Step One: Capture the Year
Write down anything that felt significant to you. Going through your calendar month by month can help jog your memory or take a look at your journal or pictures on your phone. This first step will take quite a while and it may help to do it in more than one sitting. I like to use a dry erase board divided into 12 boxes, one for each month. You can also use large paper and markers or a pen and notepad or whatever else seems interesting to you. Step Two: Give It Another Look Go back through and circle the things that were most significant. Step Three: Do Some Self Reflection Grab a delicious drink and/or snack and think through what these significant events might mean. What worked for you last year? What didn’t work? Step Four: Set Yourself Up to Plan the Next Year Based on your process so far, write down answers to these questions.
